Located 5km south of Zeehan, Oceana was mined underground for high grade lead and silver ore prior to 1960, and produced 15kt lead and 17t silver in total. In addition to Hellman &Schofield’s 2008 JORC resource estimate, AHL has added 1.3Mt (@10.7% Pb, 1.9% Zn and 97g/t Ag of geological resource based on recent deep drilling, which gives rise to a potential underground mining operation in addition to open cut mining for the shallow resource, as currently planned.
