Australian Hualong P/L awarded EDGI Grant

The Tasmanian State Government, through the Exploration Drilling Grant Initiative (EDGI), offers grants for co-funded exploration drilling projects. The aim is to provide a stimulus to greenfields exploration in Tasmania. EDGI funds high-quality, technically and economically sound projects that promote innovative exploration or new exploration concepts and technology. The Government contribution to the AHL exploration proposal will be up to $50,000 for direct drilling costs for a co-funded 750m diamond drill hole at the Comstock prospect, Trial Harbour Road, near Zeehan. This will be the second EDGI co-funded drill hole undertaken at Comstock prospect by the Company.

The drilling of this new hole (designated as SY801) will further enhance the understanding of the Balstrup Fault Pb-Zn-Ag mineralisation previously intersected by EDGI drill hole SY800 in June 2019. A number of 3-4m (apparent-width) notable Pb-Zn-Ag intersections were achieved in the first hole, with two intervals containing over 10% combined Pb+Zn.

Tenth Legion Draft EIS Lodged

Australian Hualong P/L is pleased to announce that the Tenth Legion Iron Ore Mine Environmental Impact Statement (Draft 1) was lodged with the EPA for review today (June 15, 2021).

This represents an important milestone for the Company as it moves closer towards production of magnetite iron ore at Tenth Legion, near Zeehan Tasmania.

We’re moving forwards

The Tenth Legion magnetite iron ore deposit will be mined in three stages.

Stage one is nearing completion of an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIS) and mine planning activities, with ground work expected to start late 2021.
